Sheryl has taught all over Ashland, at the Ashland Yoga Center, The Yoga Sanctuary, Studio Z, Hidden Springs, Rasa Yoga, The Studio, and the YMCA. She teaches to all levels of practice, including focus workshops on fertility yoga, inversions, Mom and Baby Yoga, Gentle Yoga and partner yoga.
She has been teaching yoga and practicing massage for 14 years. While attending UCSD in 1996, she discovered Iyengar Yoga and was drawn to the subtle precision of movement that energized her body and life like nothing she had previously experienced. She traveled to India after graduating in 1999, deepening her spiritual practice with this soul journey. Back in the USA, Sheryl attended a teacher training program at Ananda Yoga's Expanding Light, and began teaching in San Diego.
Simultaniously, she began attending The School of Healing Arts in Pacific Beach, CA, where she dabbled in Zen Touch shiatsu, and became interested in a similar style of bodywork, Thai Massage. At the time, she was practicing mainly swedish massage.
In 2002, Sheryl moved to Ashland, OR, where she started teaching prenatal yoga at the Yoga Sanctuary, and soon gave birth to her son. She delved deeper into her yoga practice with Hanneli Francis' Anusara Yoga Teacher Training in 2004, while pregnant with her daughter, and began teaching at the Ashland Family YMCA.
In 2008, Sheryl attended a Thai Massage Training at Breitenbush Hot Springs with D'vorah Swarzman, and she was hooked. She obtained her Oregon Massage license right around that time and started up her practice here, while continuing to study with D'vorah. She attended the Anusara Yoga Immersion in 2011 just after returning from Thailand, where she took a Pregnancy Thai course in Chiang Mai at the Sunshine School for Massage.
